The Golden Sample Documentation

In this page you will learn how we at Nexus Cellular ensure that the products our vendors provide us with actually meat our requirements and expectations.

What is the Golden Sample Documentation (GSD)?

Some parts are not available from the OEM Manufacturers. So since we’re getting them from the market, whatever we order will have to go through numerous amounts of inspections and checks to ensure that the products we offer to our customers are at the same expected quality, according to the OEM standards.

When we deliver the products we carry to our clients, we always do the due diligence to check them correctly.

  • These inspections and Work Instructions include the following checks
Whether the part is new or not
What the chain of custody for that particular part
  • How to perform the necessary checks on the parts whether the part is functional or not, including but not limited to, bins are broken or not, flex cables are corroded or not, etc.
Other cosmetic checks are also performed
  • We follow the Golden Sample Documentation (The GSD) Process internally for the Plus and Value grades, on some orders, based on our clients’ discretion. We also have other documentation for other grades.

One of the best benefits of having the GSD Process in place is that it sets the foundations and the expectations in an early stage of working with our valuable clients. Unlike some other companies where the client is always blamed for any issues such as broken bins, connectivity problems, or working conditions, for example, having the GSD Process will let us refer back to it at any time and pinpoint any issues earlier in the process.
